Basic Guidelines
The following seven categories of online conduct are unacceptable on The Animesushi Website and constitute a violation of our Community Standards which may result in warning, suspension or loss of membership:

Harrassment... Harassment occurs when a member insults, attacks, threatens, and/or denigrates another member at any time. We have zero tolerance for taking an argument about a any topic to a personal level. For instance, the use of terms such as "idiot, moron, stupid" and other derogatory terms constitutes harassment. Repeated critical and sharply negative posts toward a forum member can also constitute harassment. In other words, no flaming other members (this means no slander of any kind will be tolerated).

Disruption...Posts which intend to disrupt the topic of conversation or steer the topic away from the focus of the forum and related news. Disruption can include harassment, multiple posting of the same post and posting completely off topic messages.

Vulgarity and Sexual Explicitness...As a community with a diverse variety of members and readers, we ask that our members post without using vulgarity. Vulgarity not only includes vulgar language and pictures but also sexist, racist, anti-religious and homophobic language which may offend other members. In addition, the "masking" of vulgarity by inserting * or another keystroke in place of one or more letters in a vulgar term is unacceptable. We realize that there's a "grey area" of judgement with vulgarity but we ask that you'll respect others by avoiding vulgarity.

Solicitation... Refrain from using The Animesushi Website to advertise your site, items for sale, commercial services or website.

Spamming...Spamming is the multiple posting of an identical or similar post on one or more of our forums.

Copyrighted Material...You may post links to appropriate articles but posting articles from other sources in their entirety is a violation of our Community Standards. Use your best judgement, since you agree in the "Terms of Use" to be held legally responsible for your own posts on this system, but if you must repost quotes or sentences, please credit the source.

Specific Forum Rules

Violations of the following can result in immediate warning, suspension or loss of membership (ie. Banning):

1. Always use the same username and do not impersonate others. Use of more than one username is grounds for banning.

2. This site is not for your own commercial exploitation or self-promotion of your own business or other commercial activities, unless specifically approved by the site administrators. Dealer posts within the "Buy & Sell" section are not permitted. Any posts that have a link, or similar, to the users own business or commercial activities are also not allowed and will be deleted.

Please bear in mind that these are only guidelines; there is always a "grey area" and we understand that. Use your best judgment.

AVATAR GUIDELINES:

Avatars are the small images under your username. These help to denote a little of your personality, and suggest a bit of you to the other members. We recognize your right to freedom of expression, but while here on AnimeSushi, we ask that you keep the avatars "work safe" for the LARGE number of members who may be surfing in a PG-13 environment.

There are options to turn off avatars for those who want to avoid any problems with potentially risque content. These options can be found under the PROFILE.

Avatars are PG-13 and lower. There is NO NUDITY, DEATH/GROSS avatars. Avatars that violate these rules, will be removed by the administration.

AnimeSushi does not allow vulgar, obscene, profane or hate-based screen names.

Signature Guidelines
There is a 10 line limit on Signatures. AnimeSushi does allow images in signatures, however we ask that your signature image does not excede 728x90 pixels in size. (This is a standard Large Banner size that you might see in banners and ads). The more common banner size is 468x60. This is the recommend setting for everyones enjoyment.
